A suicide bomber, who was planning to commit a terrorist attack, was detained in Turkish province of Diyarbakir during a special operation, the local newspaper Sabah said on its website Oct. 27.

The suicide bomber's name is yet to be disclosed.

Earlier it was reported that Turkey's police are looking for four suicide bombers who infiltrated into Turkey from neighboring Syria.

Earlier, a shootout took place in Diyarbakir between the militants of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" and the local police.

A similar incident occurred Oct. 27 in the central Turkish province of Konya.

In late June last year, the "Islamic State" announced the creation of "Islamic caliphate" in the areas under its control in Iraq and Syria.

Previously, Ankara repeatedly said that the terrorist organization "Islamic State" is a serious threat for Turkey, and all countries must work together to combat global terrorism.
