The third bridge over the Bosphorus Strait, the construction of which began in May 2013, will be commissioned in April 2016, TRT Haber news channel quoted Turkey's transportation, maritime and communications minister, Binali Yildirim, as saying Dec. 24.
He said that so far 95 percent of works have been completed to construct the bridge, which will be named 'Yavuz Sultan Selim'.
The bridge will be 1.85 kilometers long and 59 meters wide. The bridge is being built at an altitude of 320 meters above the Bosphorus.
