Turkey supports Russia on the issue of the territorial integrity of Syria and it does not lay claim on the neighboring countries’ territories, TASS news agency reported citing Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
The minister made the remarks in an interview to the Russia-24 news channel.
Cavusoglu noted that Turkey in no way lays up claim on the territories of the neighboring Syria and Iraq.
“We support the territorial integrity of Syria, and we share this point of view with Russia,” he said.
Turkey also shares Russia’s viewpoint “on the secular nature of Syria’s future leadership that represents such a regime that would not exclude any political force.”
