Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov received on Wednesday the Chief of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lithuanian Parliament Emanuelis Zingeris, the press service of Foreign Ministry reported.
During the meeting the parties highly appreciated the current state of mutual relations between two countries as well as the cooperation within the international organizations.
Emanuelis Zingeris said that Lithuania is ready to render Azerbaijan every possible assistance for integration into the European institutions and it's necessary to intensify relations in this field.
In his turn, Elmar Mammadyarov expressed his gratitude to Lithuania for supporting Azerbaijan's position.
Speaking about the necessity of intensification of the relations between two countries in the economy, energy, education and other fields, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister stressed that it's possible t implement this both in bilateral format and within the EU cooperation.
In the meeting the parties discussed also the other issues.
