Azerbaijani CEC unanimously supports using web cameras in parliamentary elections

The Azerbaijani Central Election Commission decided to install web cameras in polling stations during the upcoming parliamentary elections. This decision was voiced at the meeting on Saturday.

The Azerbaijani Central Election Commission decided to install web cameras in polling stations during the upcoming parliamentary elections. This decision was voiced at the meeting on Saturday.

The CEC secretary Natig Mammadov voiced this initiative at a meeting. He said that cameras will be installed at 500 poling stations in all regions of Azerbaijan.

The CEC members unanimously supported the initiative.

The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
