Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 30 / Trend T.Hajiyev /

Any candidate must inform the police about it during a meeting in district elections commission, Mazahir Panahov, chairman of the Azerbaijani CEC, said at a meeting today.

"To establish order concerns not only candidates. If any incident takes place there, candidates can bring an action against us. It does not mean that the involvement of police will interfere the process, " he said.

He also said that if one appeals to the police to establish order and a policeman does not establish order, in this case CEC will voice disagreement. If a candidate does not inform the police about the process of meetings and if any incident takes place there, it will be a candidate's responsibility. If this situation occurs, we will punish this candidate," he said.
