The Television and Radio Production Unit of the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry has launched digital television in the Karabakh region, the ministry said on Saturday.
"This became possible after commissioning the new digital equipment installed on the Agsu TV tower," the ministry said.
The height of the tower is 92 meters. It is situated at a height of 864 meters on the Agsu pass that allows covering the Karabakh region along with Aran region with a TV signal.
At present, digital television signal covers 55 percent of Azerbaijan's populated areas.
