In January-October, metallurgical industry of Azerbaijan produced products and rendered services worth 228.2 million manat, the State Statistics Committee said on Monday.
Amount of production in metallurgical industry in Azerbaijan increased by 1.9 times, finished metal products during this period decreased by 5.2 percent.
Some 175,000 tons steel casting was produced within ten months, which is 1.9 times more than the same period of 2010.
Amount of production of reinforcement reached 144,800 tons, which is 37.4 percent more than in January-October 2010.
Amount of production of iron casting reached 321,100 tons, which is 62.5 percent less than the same period of 2010.
Amount of production of wires and cables made of ferrous metals reached 412,100 tons, which is 23.3 percent more than in January-October 2010.
Some 83,800 tons steel pipes were produced, which is 2.7 times more than the same period of 2010.
Amount of export of semi-finished products made from ferrous metal, as of January-September 2011 totaled 160,400 tons (to the amount of more than $73 million), which is 97.6 percent (in monetary terms - to 92.7 percent) more than the same indicator of 2010.
As of nine months, the amount of exported pipes made from ferrous metal was more than 74,000 tons (to the amount of $77.6 million), which is 2.4 times (in monetary terms in 3.1 times) more compared to the same period of 2010.
