Jewish people have always felt at home in Azerbaijan because the country is unique where representatives of all nations feel comfortable, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman said at the opening of the Centre for Israel and the Middle East at the University of Foreign Languages in Baku.

"Relations between Azerbaijan and Israel have always been good and continue to grow in all directions. Creation of such a canter in one of the most prestigious universities in Azerbaijan, as well as the level of study of Hebrew at the university is a vivid example of this," the Minister said.

Liberman said three students of this university will be able to improve their knowledge of Hebrew directly in Israel at the expense of the Israeli government.

The minister noted that it is not his first visit to Baku and each visit show how rapidly the country is developing.

"Development of Azerbaijan continues despite the difficult economic situation worldwide and in the background of the economic crisis," Lieberman said.
