Azerbaijan is interested in developing relations with Indonesia and Singapore, Azerbaijani ambassador to those countries Tamerlan Garayev, participating at the fourth meeting of the heads of the Azerbaijani diplomatic missions, told Trend on Friday.

The diplomat said that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will pay an official visit to Singapore on November 20-21 and Indonesia on November 22-23.

"Azerbaijan is interested in developing relations with these countries," he said. "Preparations for the visit as well as the work on the projects of bilateral documents are underway. They will be signed during the visit."

He added that Azerbaijan's relations with these countries have been recently improved and the upcoming visit will give a significant boost to their development.

"Currently, we are working on 17 draft agreements with Indonesia and over 10- with Singapore," he said. "Azerbaijan intends to make significant investments in Indonesia."
He added that power engineering is the main area of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Indonesia.

"Azerbaijan ranks second after Saudi Arabia among the countries where Indonesia buys oil," he said. "Azerbaijan expects to get $2 billion from oil sales to this country in 2012."
