Methodological approaches to globalisation discussed at Baku humanitarian forum

Azerbaijan plays an important role in the provision of regional security, former Japanese vice-minister of foreign affairs Akiko Yamanaka stated during her speech on 'New methodological approaches to globalisation processes in the XXI century', in section meeting of the second humanitarian forum in Baku.
She also noted that Azerbaijan plays an important part in provision of the region's energy security.
The dean of Baku State University Abel Maherramov, who spoke at the meeting, noted that Azerbaijan's role is nowadays estimated not only from the social economic and humanitarian point of view, but the whole world now recognised Azerbaijan as a developed country holding high spiritual values. He said the forum has a very important meaning from this point of view.
The Baku International Humanitarian Forum is an authoritative science and political global platform set up to search for answers to global challenges which are faced by humanity in 21st Century. The holding of a wide range of dialogues, exchanges of opinions and discussion on the most important issues of humanitarian cooperation are the main objective of the conference.
Famous state figures, Nobel laureates, 15 ex-presidents, heads of various governments, ministers, well-known figures in the fields of education, science and culture are attending the forum.
The first Baku International Humanitarian Forum under the slogan 'XXI century: hopes and challenges' took place in October 2011. The forum organisers are Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev and Russian president Vladimir Putin.
