Speed of traffic in network of providers exceeds 50 Gbit / s in Azerbaijan

The volume of consumed incoming Internet traffic through the primary provider of Azerbaijan - Delta Telecom company exceeded 50 Gb/s, of Delta Telecom said on Tuesday.

The volume of incoming Internet traffic, used by the Internet service providers in Azerbaijan, increased by 75 percent since the beginning of the year.

The dynamics of the network load varies depending on the time of day, and the greatest load falls on the day - more than 50 Gb / s. At night, the figure drops to 5 Gb/s, which is 1 Gbit/s more compared to the beginning of the year.

According to statistics of Delta Telecom, the volume of outbound traffic reaches 14 Gbit/s, which is more than double than at the beginning of the year. This figure reduced to 1 Gbit/s at night.

At present, the total capacity of AzNET segment reaches 300 Gbit/s.

Delta Telecom traffic is divided among 30 telecommunications operators (public and private Internet service providers, mobile operators, etc.)

As of October 16, the largest amount of traffic delivered to the end user accounts for the state internet provider ISP BakinterNet (25,09 percent), followed by Aztelekom (14.94 percent) and Uninet (trademark Stream) (13,43 percent).

The remaining 46.54 percent are distributed among companies AlfaNet, Azintex, Eurotelecom, Q-Telecom, Avirtel, Azedunet, Caspel, QlobalNet, TransEuroCom, Azerin, AzStarNet, Castel, MegaTelecom, Smart-Systems, Azeronline, Stellford (trademark Connect), Nakhchivan , Ultel, Azerphone, Azqtel, DATAPlus, Orbit-az, AzEuroTel, Bakcell, Eurocel, Information and Computing Centre, Ministry of Communications and Azstatenet.
