The volume of mobile phone import into Azerbaijan for three quarters totaled 114,277 units worth $5.592 million, the State Statistics Committee told Trend on Monday.
According to the committee, the number of mobile phones imported into the country increased by 11 percent (102,869 units were imported last year) compared to January-September 2011, while in value terms, this figure reduced by 9.4 percent.
More than 10,000-12,000 mobile phones are imported into the country monthly. Monthly volume of the mobile phone market in value terms is $500,000-600,000.
