After parliamentary elections in Israel, relationships between Baku and Tel Aviv will continue to be good as in the past, Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz told journalists on Wednesday.

"We see that for last more than 20 years, there are special and unique relationships between the two countries. Israel appreciates Azerbaijan. We have lots of things common and those relationships are good and after parliamentary elections in Israel, they will continue to be good as in the past," Harpaz added.

He said he appreciates the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in 2012 very good.
"We have very good political relationships. I think Azerbaijan is playing very constructive role as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council," Harpaz underlined.
He said that Azerbaijan and Israel are focusing on many topics, and there are four areas that are going to be relevant.

"Israel has an experience in telecommunications, agriculture, water and medical technologies. And the second issue is energy, we discovered lots of natural gas in offshore of Israel and for us it is important to learn Azerbaijan's experience in energy," Harpaz said.

He said Israeli private sector demonstrates lots of interest in Azerbaijan. He also said he sees a bright future for both countries.
