The number of citizens with compulsory personal social insurance accounts has increased 12.2 % in the first half of 2013 in comparison with the same period of 2012, the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) of Azerbaijan reported on Monday.
According to the report, personal accounts for 315,51,000 customers were opened between January and June 2013. According to July 2013 data, the total number of insurers possessing personal accounts for charges on compulsory social insurance in Azerbaijan is 2.58 million.
"58.6% of them are men and 41.4% are women. The plurality (25.3%) of insured persons are 30-40 years old citizens. Persons younger than 30 constitute 23.3%, 40-50 years old people constitute 22.8%, 50-60 year olds are 20.5% and others, including people 60+ years of age constitute 9.8% of insured persons.", the report says.
Labor pensions in Azerbaijan falls into two catagories: basic and insurance. The basic part is estimated at 85 manats.
