Azerbaijan, Baku, September 2 / Trend /

Iteca Caspian and its partner, ITE Group plc, have nine exhibitions planned for this autumn, Iteca Caspian reported. A distinctive feature of this season's exhibitions is steady growth (20%) across all events. This growth has been aided by the favourable economic situation in Azerbaijan and the unique format of the exhibitions organised by Iteca Caspian, as well as the strong network of international offices and agents that contribute to the participation of international companies in the exhibitions.

The success of the exhibitions is due to the fact that all exhibitions are supported by government agencies. Over the past six years a number of the major autumn exhibitions, including BIHE, BakuBuild and Bakutel, have been approved by UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. This approval is a widely recognised mark of quality for exhibition events and confirmation of the statistics provided by the organisers. SafeLife is the official security partner of all events held by Iteca Caspian in 2013; Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel and Qafqaz Point Hotel are the official hotels; and Greenwich Travel Club is the official tour operator.

The 7th Azerbaijan International Education and Career exhibition will be held from 4 to 6 October at the JW Marriott Absheron and will open the exhibition season. The exhibition is timed specifically to coincide with the new school year in order to help students and their parents make the right choices and choose the right path for the future. Education and Career is the only event in the field of education that is organised with support of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan. The exhibition is expected to welcome more than 100 participants from 20 countries, representing over 70 faculties, courses and programmes of study in a variety of disciplines.

The exhibition will include Bachelors' and MBA programmes, language courses, business software, and international learning systems. It is noteworthy that five countries - Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine, Hungary and Poland - will participate with national stands for the first time, representing prestigious schools from various cities. Rapid economic growth in Azerbaijan has resulted in the expansion of businesses and increased demand for valuable specialists - thus creating an upsurge in the development of education. This trend is reflected in the Career section of the exhibition, which will be attended by BP, SOCAR and Azercell, among others, as well as recruitment agencies who will be carrying out preliminary interviews and accepting applications from young people who want to build their career in a particular industry.

The companies offer training programmes, graduate employment programmes, internships, financial support for training in the oil and gas sector, and special programmes for graduates of technical and oil colleges in Azerbaijan. During the exhibition, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is an annual participant in the event, will consult with non-governmental youth organisations and associations to help graduates to select the correct job, to create the right documents and to do well in interviews, as well as offering many other useful tips for finding the right job. Education and Career Exhibition is only open to final year secondary school students, applicants, university students and their parents, and industry professionals.

The long-awaited and most extensive exhibition event in the region - Caspian Construction Week - will take place from 23 to 26 October. Occupying all the pavilions, the outside area and the lounge of Baku Expo Centre, Caspian Construction Week comprises three simultaneous exhibition projects: BakuBuild, Aqua-Therm Baku and CIPS Caspian. This year, Caspian Construction Week will bring together more than 400 companies from 27 countries in one exhibition. The participants will be well prepared and will present the latest trends in their sectors. The Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition, BakuBuild 2013, will present state-of-the-art construction technologies, a wide range of building materials, sanitaryware from companies at the forefront of production, new flooring materials, construction equipment, playgrounds suitable for both public and private installation, sports and fitness equipments, and much more.

Among the new sectors will be lighting and sound equipment used in urban decoration. Heavy industry, particularly the steel plants in Azerbaijan, Georgia and the United Arab Emirates, will be widely represented. Over recent years, the exhibition has developed a characteristic feature - the participation of companies in large national groups, set up through the active participation of chambers of commerce and government agencies in those countries. This year's exhibition will be no exception, and the national stands will be located in the lobby of Baku Expo Centre. Among those are several regular exhibitors - national groups from Germany, Greece, Italy, Iran, Portugal and Finland will also be represented. A team from the United Arab Emirates is making its debut at this year's exhibition. It is encouraging that the number of local participants is also growing and will occupy 33% of the exhibition area at this year's event. In addition, a number of permanent participants have decided to take part in a new way - Norm will act as this year's gold sponsor of the exhibition. Among the other sponsors are Holcim Azerbaijan and Emirates Steel (UAE).

The 6th Caspian International Protection, Security and Rescue Exhibition, CIPS Caspian 2013, will also be held on the same date, from 23 to 26 October. Thus, the exhibitors will include manufacturers of security systems, alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and fire safety and fire alarm systems.

This year, the annual BIHE exhibitions - Beauty Azerbaijan and Stomatology Azerbaijan - will be held from 31 October to 2 November. As the only exhibition in the region in the field of medicine and health care, BIHE has become an important meeting platform for representatives of state institutions, manufacturers of medical equipment and products, medical practitioners, and healthcare professionals. The exhibition's presitigious status is upheld by the fact that BIHE is supported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Stomatological Association, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers') Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic.

As usual, BIHE will showcase a wide range of medical goods and services: medical and laboratory equipment, dental equipment, pharmaceuticals, supplies, disinfectants, orthopaedic products, and state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment methods, technologies and services. This year the exhibition will welcome companies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Turkey, the USA, Italy, Russia and Ukraine. The Czech Republic will participate in the exhibition for the first time, with a national stand supported by the country's Ministry of Industry and Trade. For many years, the exhibition has been attended by various Turkish clinics. The exhibition will be accompanied by a business programme, which will include a seminar on the topic of medical tourism.

The 8th Azerbaijan International Stomatology Exhibition and the 7th Azerbaijan International Beauty and Aesthetic Medicine Exhibition, Beauty Azerbaijan 2013, will be held in parallel with BIHE. The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which will participate in the exhibition with its own stand. The 19th Azerbaijan International Telecommunication and Information Technology Exhibition, Bakutel 2013, which will be held in Baku Expo Centre from 2 to 5 December, will close the autumn 2013 exhibition season. The year 2013 has been declared the Year of ICT in Azerbaijan on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. In connection with this, Bakutel 2013 will demonstrate the achievements of Azerbaijan in the field of ICT in recent years. The exhibition will reflect on projects such as the Trans Eurasian Super Information Highway (TASIM), and will present the achievements of the space industry in Azerbaijan.

The exhibition will link with the theme of the development of an IT park in Azerbaijan, which is charged with the task of developing small and medium-sized ICT enterprises. As is tradition, the exhibition will be well-attended by leading ICT companies, Azerbaijani mobile network operators, communications providers and internet service providers. The exhibition will also be attended by companies from Belarus, China, Malaysia, Russia, Slovenia, the USA, Ukraine and Japan.
