In January-July 2013 Azerbaijan imported 53 338 units of mobile phones and 2 wireless phones (tablets, radiotelephones etc. ) worth $ 2409,200 , the State Statistics Committee told Trend on Monday.
According to the committee, the number of mobile phones imported into the country decreased by 27.74 percent (73 812 units were imported last year) compared to the same priod of 2012, and in value terms, this figure reduced as well by 36.45 percent.
On average more than 7,600 mobile phones were imported into the country monthly. Monthly volume of the mobile phone market in value terms is over $344,000.
