The final version of the proposals on implementation of common control marks on the packages of medicines and intellectual property products was submitted for consideration of Azerbaijani government, the Copyright Agency of Azerbaijan told Trend on Monday.
Proposals for the supply of products with unified control marks were prepared by Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development.
The start of realization of works in this direction is expected after the adoption of appropriate rules, which is expected to take place in the near future.
The issue of implementing control marks on packages of medicines has become topical after changes to the law 'On medicines'.
"The Copyright Agency has started the realization of organization works. Recently meetings were held with publishers. Another meeting with the producers of phonogram products and other owners of intellectual property will be held in the coming days," the Copyright Agency noted.
In general, the equipment of all products in Azerbaijan, including the subject of copyright, related and other rights, with special control marks is envisaged.
Earlier the Copyright Agency told Trend that the control marks, will be provided by the manufacturer of products of copyright in limited quantities, on the basis of their request. Products distributed without these control marks will be considered as pirate products.
