The Online Media Development Support project sponsored by Nar Mobile operator gets its successful completion, the company said.
Following one week long training courses organized for journalists, the outcomes of Online Media Contest announced in the framework of the same project have been also announced by unveiling the names of winners of this contest at the presentation ceremony held in the Four Seasons Baku Hotel on December 11, 2013.
Aiming to prepare the best journalists writing about information society, and particularly on e-government and ICT, aspiring to increase their professional skills, Nar Mobile remains always committed to the implementation of projects that cover the fields of education and culture. The current Online Media Contest envisaged for journalists, bloggers and students is evaluated also as one of such type of projects.
Journalists that successfully completed the courses organized in the framework of the Online Media Development Support project were given the special certificates at the presentation ceremony. Winners of the Online Media Contest and young journalists taking good places were offered diplomas and valuable gifts. Mr.Osman Gunduz, Director of the Multimedia Center, one of the organizers of this event expressed his thanks to the authors of articles selected among 27 writings presented in the framework of the Contest as well as to over 500 twitters and 70 micro bloggers and wished them successes in their future career.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs.Nigar Arpadarai, Head of Public Relations and Corporate Communication Section of the Azerfon Company conveyed her best regards to winners and stressed the readiness of Nar Mobile operator to support such educational and stimulating projects in the future. Mr.Aflatun Amashov, Chairman of the Press Council, who also joined this event, expressed his special gratitude to the Jury Panel composed of professionals and underlined the importance of this project. He thanked the winners of the Contest by inviting them to write always in objective and comprehensive manner.
