Azerbaijan sets conditions for selection of High-Tech Park residents

Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies is developing rules for High-Tech Park's activities, deputy director general of the park, Jabbar Musayev told Trend on Jan. 10.

He said the development of rules will be completed soon. The document will specify rules for application of contenders with ready projects, the conditions of their selection and so on.

Promising start-up projects can have pretensions for being developed at the High-Tech Park.

With the beginning of the park's activities the ICT spheres will expand and the creation of modern research facilities and development of new information technologies will be provided. The park will play an important role in the sustainable development of economy and competitiveness.

High-Tech Park LLC passed the state registration. Azerbaijani State Committee for Property Issues approved the charter of the park and meetings were held with potential foreign investors and companies.

The High-Tech Park will be built in Baku settlement of Pirallahi. A land area of 50 hectares was allocated for the park's construction. Currently, works are underway for construction of the park, the necessary infrastructure and the study of international experience and settlement of other issues.
