By Huseyn Valiyev - Trend:

Azerbaijani Communications and Information Technologies Ministry has begun a selection of participants for a high-tech park's Business Incubation Centre, the park's Deputy Director General, Jabbar Musayev told Trend on Jan.29.

Musayev pointed out the registration form is available at picampus.az.

"Projects will be selected in accordance with the criteria for selecting Business Incubation Centre participants. By using the advantages of the incubation centre, applicants will be able to accelerate the process of developing a business environment in the ICT sector, as well as innovative ideas," Musayev said.

The Business Incubation Centre with a total area of about 2000 square metres is located on the third floor of AF Business House in Baku. The centre includes both the centre itself and the high-tech park's central office.

Receipt of ICT projects will start shortly. The centre's activity will be based on two principles. The first is the so-called 'Open office' allowing everyone to work separately on a specific project and the second is the 'shared office' which can contain up to five companies. Each company can work on a project in teams.

Business Incubation Centre participants will be provided with computer equipment and internet access. If necessary, the centre will be ready to provide the necessary support for project proponents. Only promising projects can claim to be developed at the incubation centre. Once the project reaches the desired stage of development, it will be transferred to the high-tech park.

The park will be constructed in the Pirallahi district of the Azerbaijani capital Baku. A land area of 50 hectares has been allocated for its construction. Currently, work is underway on the construction of the park and the necessary infrastructure and for studying international experience and settlement of other issues.
