Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb. 25

By Huseyn Valiyev - Trend:

Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), operating under State Agency for Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijani Special State Protection Service, is conducting vulnerability checks on network infrastructures of Azerbaijan's state institutions and internet resources located under 'gov.az' domain zone, CERT told Trend on Feb. 25.

CERT said the checks regularly cover over 500 internet resources of state institutions.

In case of detection of voids and errors the CERT sends an official notification to the state institution. Afterwards the response team specialists hold checks to inspect whether the vulnerability was eliminated or not.

Aside from that CERT experts analyze equipment at state institutions to detect the presence of 'backdoors', which are used by hackers to remotely control information systems.

The high-tech equipment purchased by government agencies also undergoes thorough checks at a special laboratory of the CERT.
