About $1,6 million spent on municipal improvement of Lyankaran during three quarters of 2005

For three quarters of 2005, about 7,5 billion AZM (some $1,6 million) have been spent on social improvements of Lyankaran. For 9 months of the year 20 city streets with the length of 11,7 km and the area of 100,000 square meters have been covered by asphalt and concrete surfacing, repairs and works on cleaning of water gutters of 9,7 km length have been held, the city executive power told Trend . Non-serviceable bridges
and pedestrian crossings have been also reinstated.

10 more streets of 6,3 km length are planned to cover by asphalt and to repair water gutters of 12,6 km total stretch, as well as to clean water collectors till the year-end.

General overhaul of motor roads in some mountain villages and to build 5 new bridges bare also projected. 3 billion AZM have been allocated for these works ($0,65 million).

Rural roads of 7,1 km length have been repaired on the account of own funds.
