Andreas Gross and Andreas Herkel, the European parliamentarians involved in monitoring the poll in Ganja, held a news conference on 6 November at 23.00pm [local time]. Gross, who carried out full observation at polling station #18 of the First Nizami Constituency 37, said he did not observe any falsification and the poll was fair.
As to a decision on selection of only one station for observation, Gross explained that the falsification occurs very seldom. “No violation might occur during the short of period of observation in the polling station,” he underlined.
As to general opinion on the elections Gross said that it was too early to speak about it. “My colleagues, who conducted observation in different stations, told me on absence of serious violations. They will be investigated and we will form a final report,” the European parliamentarian stressed.
