Azerbaijan , Baku /corr Trend A.Ismayilova / Etibar Pirverdiyev, the President of Azerenerji Energy Company, stated on 22 February that at the end of 2007 or beginning of 2008, it is planned to put into exploitation a new power grid in Sumgayit. He was addressing the opening of the Baku module station.

Over AZN 50mln has been spent on the construction of a newly-opened power station in Baku .
The commissioning of the power grid will considerably improve Baku 's energy supply. The station is capable of ensuring energy supply to the '8 th km' settlement of Baku . Mr Pirverdiyev denies rumors of a possible increase in electricity prices.
