Azerbaijan , Baku /corr Trend S.Babayeva / Jahangir Aliyev, the Chairman of the Republican Committee of Trades Unions of Oil and gas Industry Employees, regarded strike by some employees of Bos Shelf, a construction company, as groundless.
Mr. Aliyev said that former employees of the company were dissatisfied with the non-payment of 3-month benefits after the expiration of the contract, as it was accorded before between the Committee, the Azerbaijan International Operating Company and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan .
Following the singing of a document which concerns only construction employees, they were considering opportunities for enlarging the category of employees for issue of benefits.
"They demanded the benefits that they would receive at any case, later or earlier. By this way they only complicated the situation. If employees referred to other categories appeal the Committee for payment of benefits, it would be almost impossible", he said.
