Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / The Chairman of the Press Council of Azerbaijan, Aflatun Amashov, stated that the Press Council has sent an appeal to the Chairman of the Court on Heinous Crimes of Azerbaijan, Faig Gasimov.
The appeal says that the Press Council has received complaints that several journalists are not missed to the court session over the case of the former Health Minister of Azerbaijan , Ali Insanov. The complaint of the representatives of 12 newspapers says that the Judge does not miss them to the court hall. The Press Council asks to eliminate this problem and create conditions for the participation of the media representatives in the court process.
"In out appeal we ask to miss all journalists to the court hall and not to make discrimination. At the same time, we offered that if there is lack of places for the large number of the journalists, the Press Council can prepare and present to the court the list of the journalists who will attend the court process," Amashov said, adding that the Press Council tries to resolve this problem till the next court session due on 27 February.
