Senegal offers Azerbaijan to cooperate in fighting against drug trafficking

Cooperation with Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee (SCC) is of great importance for Senegal in terms of fighting against drug smuggling, according to Noiaye Aliou, Deputy Director General of Senegalese Economy and Finance Ministry's General Customs Administration.
He made the remarks in Baku, Sept. 8, at a meeting with a delegation led by the SCC Chairman Aydin Aliyev.
Aliyev briefed the Senegalese delegation on Azerbaijan's achievements in the area of customs, and noted that the SCC is one of the leading bodies involved in construction of an e-government.
He said Azerbaijan and Senegal are friendly countries, adding that his committee is ready to support Senegal in all areas of interest.
Azerbaijani customs committee head, also noted that the two countries have not yet signed any official documents at the government level, and suggested to elaborate on an agreement on cooperation in the training of personnel.
Aliou, for his part, said the Senegalese side is ready to spare no effort for the Azerbaijani side's offer on preparing the agreement to be fulfilled soon.
"We will of course use this opportunity in order to succeed in the work of our customs authority by means of learning from your experience," he said.
