Azerbaijan's Ganja Automobile Plant manufactured 1,009 'Belarus' brand tractors in Jan.-Sept. 2014, or 536 tractors more than in the same period of 2013, the plant told Trend Oct. 24.
The Ganja Automobile Plant said that in the reporting period, it produced 202 large 'MAZ' brand vehicles, versus 184 vehicles in Jan.-Sept. 2013.
Also, in Jan.-Sept., the plant produced 732 rigs, 73 rigs more than in the same period of 2013.
In the first 9 months, the plant produced 15 and 24 tractor trailers trailer for heavy vehicles.
During the reporting period, the plant manufactured products worth 53.7 million AZN (about $68 million on Oct. 27), or 22.8 million AZN more than in Jan.-Sept. 2013.
In the first 9 months, products worth a total of 56.6 million AZN were sold, which is 18 million AZN more compared to the same period of 2013.
The official exchange rate for October 27 is 0.7843 AZN/USD.
The contributions to the non-budgetary funds in this period totalled 3.5 million AZN, and the wage fund was 193,300 AZN. The average wage level at the enterprise in Jan.-Sept. stood at 394.3 AZN or 67 AZN more than in Jan.-Sept. 2013.
A tripartite agreement was signed in March 2010 by the Ganja Automobile Plant, Belarusian Minsk Automobile Plant and German company Haller.
The agreement stipulates installation of Haller's utility equipments in an automotive subdivision of the Ganja Automobile Plant, which assembles the 'MAZ' brand motor vehicles.
A contract was signed in late November 2006 in Minsk, Belarus, for the assembly and sale in Azerbaijan of the vehicles and tractors produced by the Minsk Automobile Plant and Minsk Tractor Plant.
The Ganja Automobile Plant is capable of assembling up to 1,000 trucks and 2,000 tractors a year. The Ganja Automobile Plant is currently assembling 'Belarus' tractors and 'MAZ' vehicles.
Besides the tractors and vehicles, the Ganja Automobile Plant produces various equipments for 'Belarus' tractors.
The equipments produced by the plant have a warranty for one year. A quality service is also rendered in all regions of Azerbaijan.
