It is planned to finish the work on drilling new high-debit well No.125 on Bulla Deniz offshore gas field in the Caspian Sea within 11 months, a source in SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) told Trend August 18.

The source said that 1,200 meters of the designed 6,200 meters of the well have been now drilled.

"Preparation for laying the pipe to this depth is underway now," said the source. "The debit of the well is very high according to the calculations - 150-200 metric tons of condensate and 800,000-1 million cubic meters of gas per day. We have identified a period of 11 months for carrying out all the necessary work to commission the well."

The drilling of the well No.125 is carried out by SOCAR drilling trust from platform No.122 on the field "Bulla Deniz".

The Bulla-Deniz field is located at 80 kilometers south from Baku, and it was opened in 1975. During this time, over 61 billion cubic meters of gas and 12 million metric tons of oil and gas condensate were produced at the field.

SOCAR includes the Azneft production association (company producing oil and gas onshore and offshore) and the Azkimya production association (chemical industry) and Azerigaz production association (gas distribution).

In addition, SOCAR includes a number of processing enterprises, service enterprises and institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling operations.
