In January-October 2015, as many as 27 insurance companies operating in Azerbaijan collected premiums worth 378.9 million manats, which is 6.5 percent more than last year, the head of Azerbaijan Insurers Association (AIA) Orhan Bayramov said Nov.19 at a press conference.
The official exchange rate for November 19 is 1.0506 AZN/USD.
Thus, during the reporting period, the companies made insurance payments worth nearly 140 million manats, which is 6.6 percent more than in January-October last year.
Every 100 manats of insurance premiums collected account for 37 manats of payments. This indicator amounted to 36.9 manats in January-October 2014.
