Azerbaijan produced 27,500 tons of polyethylene in 1Q2016, which is by 7.9 percent more than the same period of 2015, said the report of the country's State Statistics Committee.
Azerbaijan produced 13,800 tons of propylene in January-March 2016, which is by 2.9 percent less than the same period of 2015.
The country produced 16,000 tons of barium sulfate during the reporting period, which is by 20.7 percent more than the January-March of 2015, according to the report.
During the 1Q2016, Azerbaijan produced 4,170 tons of isopropyl alcohol, which is by 3.3 times more than the same period of 2015.
The report also said that an increase was observed in many spheres of chemical products' output in Azerbaijan in January-March 2016.
Azerbaijan also produced 1,540 tons of rigid polyethylene tubes, pipes and hoses in March 2016, which is 48.1 percent less than the same period of 2015.
