In the first five months of 2019, information and communication institutions in Azerbaijan provided services worth 822.7 million manats, Trend reports referring to the country's State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee's report, 72 percent of all services rendered during the reported period were provided to the public.
Compared to January-May 2018, the real cost of information and communication services increased by 14.9 percent.
The size of the main investments in ICT amounted to 132.6 million manats, including 129.9 million in the field of communications.
The private sector accounted for 82.7 percent of total revenues in communications.
Some 41.9 percent of the revenues was formed at the expense of mobile operators, which amounted to 344.7 million manats.
