The total bank deposits of the population of Azerbaijani districts as of late February 2020 made up 898.7 million manat ($528.6 million), which is 215.9 million manat ($127 million) or 31.6 percent more compared to February 2019, Trend reports referring to a report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The share of Azerbaijani districts in the total volume of all bank deposits in the country as of late February 2020 was 10.34 percent.
Around 84.6 percent or 760.6 million manat ($447.4 million) of all deposits in the country's districts for the reporting period account for savings in the national currency. As of late February 2020, the volume of deposits in Baku amounted to 7.8 billion manat ($4.6 billion), including 3.4 billion manat ($2 billion) in national currency.
The average annual interest rate on loans in late February 2020 was 3.7 percent in the country's districts and 3.6 percent in Baku.
