Presently, most people worldwide spend free time at home by surfing internet via PC or mobile device, which allows startups to render more services and increase online sales, Enterprise Azerbaijan website manager Oruj Dursunzade said, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication.
“These services include online training and courses, online consulting and trading, installation of platforms that can simplify work at home, a ready-made business project developed by startups,” Dursunzade added.
“To organize and continue business activity and cooperation with foreign partners, it is necessary to be in touch with them and customers, carefully research other markets less affected by the pandemic and also analyze the possible opportunities for integrating your business into these markets,” he said.
“Therefore, it is important today to effectively use the format of video conferencing and online conversations,” Dursunzade said.
The manager also stressed that mandatory participation of startups in international hackathons is required, which allows to widely present the ideas and receive cash prizes.
Dursunzade also offered a few recommendations on how to use the time in self-isolation wisely.
"Carry out activity to develop a startup project at home if possible,” the manager said. “Hold virtual meetings with colleagues and clients, advertising campaigns for customers by using various technology platforms for their implementation. Use other available programs to manage your home business and establish contacts.”
“Startups are recommended to switch from a monthly activity monitoring system to a daily one,” the manager said. “This will help to quickly determine the priority spheres for development in the current situation.”
