The subsidiary of the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, ADY Express LLC, together with Georgian partners, is transporting the goods of large Russian enterprises to the Turkish market via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway, Spokesman for ADY Express Ilham Abdulov told Trend.

Abdulov said the goods include products of the Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant (EVRAZ NTMK) OJSC and Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine (MMK).

“Transporting the goods of these enterprises to the final destination by the ADY Express operator takes 15-17 days. Transportation of goods is carried out by transit from Russia through Azerbaijan and Georgia to Kars. The total length of the railway is about 5,000 kilometers. Mainly, steel is transported,” Abdulov noted.

“Earlier, MMK’s cargos were transported by sea via Russian Novorossiysk port. The delivery time was about a month, which could depend on weather conditions. ADY Express’ transports the cargo within the above terms regardless of weather conditions,” said the spokesman.

In the first four months of 2020, ADY Express transported 29,673 tons of cargo from world steel manufacturers - EVRAZ NTMK and MMK, Abdulov added.

“Our cooperation with these enterprises began in 2018 and continues successfully to this day,” he said.

ADY Express LLC provides profitable and reliable logistics services in the field of rail transportation. The company intends to help increase the volume of goods transported between Asia and Europe. Thanks to the development of new routes, this also contributes to an increase in transit volumes between the Persian Gulf countries and Russia with Europe.
