Azerbaijan's value of export to CIS countries grows in 11M2021

The value of Azerbaijani exports to CIS countries from January through November 2021 increased, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

According to the committee, this figure exceeded $1.6 billion, up by $455.9 million (27.66 percent) on annual basis.

In the first 11 months of this year, the share of CIS countries in the total Azerbaijani exports amounted to 8.33 percent, the committee said.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijani imports from the mentioned countries exceeded $2.6 billion, which is 25.05 percent of the total Azerbaijani import.

Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and CIS countries was negative, settling at nearly $959.1 million.

The top importer of Azerbaijani products from January through November 2021 among the countries in value terms was Russia ($802.2 million), followed by Ukraine ($446.9 million), Belarus ($290.9 million), Kazakhstan ($35.8 million), Turkmenistan ($29.4 million) and Uzbekistan ($30.4 million).

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover exceeded $30.2 billion over the period from January through November 2021. Of these, over $19.8 billion (65.54 percent) accounted for exports, and more than $10.4 billion (34.46 percent) - imports.

The balance of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan, remaining positive, increased by 2.8 times on an annual basis - up to 9.3 billion manat ($5.5 billion), while in 11M2020, the foreign trade surplus amounted to over $3.3 billion.
