Azerbaijan exported cotton worth $245.6 million over the period from January through November 2021, which is an increase from $130.9 million during the same period of last year, Trend reports referring to the report of the State Statistics Committee (SCC).
The share of cotton in Azerbaijan’s overall export increased from 1 percent to 1.24 percent in a year.
At the same time, Azerbaijan decreased import of cotton by 20.02 percent, or by $968,000 compared to the same period last year, i.e. from $5.8 million to $4.8 million. The share of cotton in Azerbaijani export went down from 0.06 percent to 0.05 percent.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in 11M2021 exceeded $30.2 billion. Of these, over $19.7 billion (51.6 percent) accounted for exports, and more than $10.4 billion (7.47 percent) - imports.
Azerbaijani foreign trade increased by 32.85 percent or by $7.4 billion on the annual basis from $22.7 billion last year.
