France, Strasburg, 21 January / Trend corr. А. Maharramli / The Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva submitted a written appeal to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Secretariat regarding the destruction of the historical monuments on the Azerbaijani occupied territories by Armenians.
The appeal reported that Azerbaijani monuments have been destroyed by Armenians for twenty years, Pashayeva stated Trend on 21 January. The appeal included the names of the regions where Armenians have destroyed the monuments, namely Khojavand, Khojali, Shusha, Lachin, Kalbajar, Agdara, Agdam, Jabrail, Fizuli, Gubadli and Zangilan.
Azerbaijan calls the Council of Europe countries to take necessary measures to prevent the destruction of the monuments on the Azerbaijani occupied territories. Furthermore, the declaration urges Armenians to follow PACE Resolution No. 1416 passed in 2005 regarding the withdrawal of Armenian Armed forces from the occupied territories.
