Azerbaijani foreign minister considers intelligentsia's visit to Nagorno-Karabakh as necessary.

"Nagorno-Karabakh is Azerbaijani land. But representatives of Armenian community living there are Azerbaijani citizens. We must prove during meetings that in case of return of lands by Azerbaijan, they will live better. Azerbaijanis will be able to return to their native lands, including Shusha, after solving the conflict. I think that these initiatives are necessary and must continue," Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov told media in Ganja on July 6.

Azerbaijani and Armenian ambassadors to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu and Armen Smbatyan, head of the Federal Agency for Culture and Cinematography Mikhail Shvydkoi being on visit in Nagorno-Karabakh met with the president of unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Saakayan in Hankendi on July 3, Armenia media outlets said.

Azerbaijani delegation included six representatives, as well as two members of the Azerbaijani Parliament Asim Mollazadeh, Rovshan Rzayev and composer Siyavush Kerimi in Hankendi.

Then Azerbaijani delegation arrived in Armenia to meet with Armenia President Serzh Sarkisian.

Members of the group left Yerevan and arrived in Baku the same day. The Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received them.

It is the second visit to Nagorno-Karabakh of Azerbaijani and Armenian ambassadors to Russia.

It is early to tell about next mutual visit of intelligentsia, Mammadyarov said.

"It is early to tell about it. We will be able to decide about next visit after analyses of current results. Mutual visits of journalists are also necessary. It is necessary to prepare thoroughly," minister said.
