The fate of 84 people registered as missing last year by the
State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons was clarified.
According to the website of the State Commission, 29 people from this number are alive, 35 were killed in battle and buried after the identification by relatives and friends, the names of 13 people on the list are repeated, seven went missing outside the zone of conflict.
The investigation revealed that seven people were missing during battle. Their names have been listed in the appropriate list.
As of December 1, 2009, 4133 people were missing, 1396 people were registered by the State Commission as individuals, freed from hostages and captivity.
It became clear that 44 persons, registered by the State Commission as missing, are on territory occupied by the Armenian armed forces and presumably were taken prisoners or kept as hostages.
