Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 29 / Trend S.Agayeva /
A well-known website of Germany removed a provocative information about the Nagorno-Karabakh from the web page, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
The Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany informed that a provocative article about the Nagorno-Karabakh appeared at one of German famous websites - georeisecommunity.de in October this year.
In this regard, the Azerbaijani embassy informed the leadership of this web resource - the company Geo.de GmbH that the Armenians use the website in their own propaganda purposes.
The company's management rapidly posted an explanatory letter of the Azerbaijani diplomatic office on the website. A provocative article about Nagorno-Karabakh was removed.
Geo.de GmbH sent a letter to the embassy, expressing regret with the mistake.
A conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts. Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994.
The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia, France, and the U.S. - are currently holding negotiations to resolve the dispute.
Armenia has failed to implement UN Security Council resolutions stipulating the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding regions.
