Chinese version of web page about Khojaly genocide developed

As part of the "Justice for Khojaly" campaign of the Azerbaijani Students and Alumni International Forum (ASAIF) Chinese version of web page about the Khojaly genocide has been presented to users, ASAIF told Trend on Tuesday.

Along with Azerbaijanis, citizens of China, Turkey, Pakistan, which recognized the Khojaly tragedy as genocide, as well as citizens of other countries and representatives of the media participated in the presentation of the website at the addresses www.huojiali.com and www.khojaly.org.cn.

ASAIF coordinator in China Vusal Gurbanov said activities to recognize Karabakh events will continue in China. Information on the Khojaly genocide in Chinese, on the aggressive policy of Armenians against Azerbaijan will be posted at Chinese social networks, including Wikipedia, which is the international electronic social encyclopedia. Publication of book on Khojaly in Chinese is also planned in near future.

The Armenian military forces committed genocide in Khojaly on Feb. 26, 1992. Some 613 people were killed, including 63 children, 106 women and 70 old men. A total of 1,000 civilians were disabled during the genocide. Eight families were annihilated, 130 children lost one parent, and 25 lost both. Additionally, 1,275 peaceful residents were taken hostage, while the fate of 150 remains unknown.
