Azerbaijan's internationally recognized territories have been occupied for a long time despite the fact that the UN Security Council, the highest structure in the world, adopted four resolutions for the withdrawal of Armenian occupying forces from there, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev said Jan. 15.

He made the remarks at a press conference in Ankara following a meeting with Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the TRT Haber news channel reported.

"Failure to comply with these resolutions shows that Armenia doesn't want peace," President Aliyev said.

Azerbaijani president noted that the meeting discussed the issues of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Ilham Aliyev further expressed gratitude to President Erdogan for Turkey's constant stance regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

"In this regard, Turkey supports justice, truth, international law, and its brothers," he said.

President Aliyev said that unfortunately, the OSCE Minsk Group has failed to achieve any results over the years.

"The activity is carried out, but, unfortunately, there is no result," the president said. "Some progress was observed in the negotiation process in 2014. Of course, Azerbaijan gave a fitting response to Armenia's provocative actions, especially to holding of the large-scale exercises in the occupied territories, in Aghdam district, in November 2014 and the attack on Azerbaijani positions. But of course, this did not have a positive impact on the negotiation process."

President Aliyev said the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can only be resolved within the territorial integrity.

"Nagorno-Karabakh is a native land of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan will restore its sovereignty and territorial integrity," the president said.

"We must be even stronger to achieve this," the president stressed. "Today, the Turkish-Azerbaijani unity, cooperation is an important factor in the world scale. No one can deny this factor."
