В"Рђzerbaijani вЂ"Armenian negotiations on peaceful settlement of the Upper Karabakh conflict go its usual courseВ", President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev stated at the joint with the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan news conference on 30 June in Baku.
According to the head of the state, the Azerbaijan’s position on this issue is based on international principles. В"Hopes for peaceful settlement of the conflict still remain, otherwise there would be not sense in talks”, Aliyev stated.
He also stated, that international institutions also support position of Azerbaijan, and Armenia, for the first time, has been legally recognized as the aggressor-country. В"I have no doubts that territorial integrity of Azerbaijan will be restored, but time is needed for this”, he stated.
According to Azerbaijan’s President, the Armenian position is based only on hopes and the international community does not recognize it. The non-constructive position of Armenia did not leave the opportunity to solve the issue so far”, Aliyev said.
In his turn, the Turkish Premier Minister Erdogan responding the journalists’questions stated, there are no conditions for opening of the Armenian-Turkish border untill settlement of the Upper Karabakh conflict.
В"There are new conditions, we discuss them, but they are not related to the opening of borders”, the Turkish Prime Minister stated.
