The Council of Europe (CE) has already voiced its position on the Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity issue. In all the organization’s documents this position on recognition of the territorial integrity has been reflected, a PACE committee’s rapporteur on migration, refugees and IDPs, a Latvian deputy told Trend on July 4 (today).
According to him, the CE does not recognize the fact of occupation of the Azerbaijani territories by the Armenian military units, but reprimands it. В"In the settlement of the Upper Karabakh conflict one should not expect the assistance from the UNO or the CE. The CE will support the conflict settlement within the limits of the possible and make assistance in setting up the political dialogue. But the sides must find the way out of the situation on their own”, Boris Chilevitch stressed.
According to him, the CE’s assistance in the conflict settlement to Azerbaijan may only be in the form of increase of the humanitarian aid.
