The Armenian side delivered on 24 August the Azerbaijani military serviceman Ramil Hudaverdiyev, detained earlier this month on the Armenian territory, the report of the Baku representative office of the International Red Cross Committee (IRRC) says, Trend reports.
The delivery took place at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border between Tavush and Gazakh regions. IRRC took part in this process as the neutral mediator based on the appeals of the relevant bodies of the governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan. The report notes, to be sure the military wants to come back home the IRRC representatives met with him prior to delivery.
IRRC works in the Nagorno-Karabkh conflict region and assisted in delivery of 652 persons so far. IRRC expresses its readiness to assist this operation in future in case of need, the press release says.
