The occupation of the Azerbaijans territories is disadvantageous first to Armenia, Araz Azimov, the deputy Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at a briefing on the results of the visit of OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen to Baku on Thursday, Trend reports.
According to Azimov, time is working against Yerevan, while the liberation of the Azerbaijani lands would improve the international image of Armenia. The same time, it very dangerous to try Azerbaijans patience by Armenia, as it is not unlimited.
In reply to the question by the correspondent of Trend about possible change of mediator in the negotiations on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azimov stressed that OSCE was the organization with experience necessary for settling of the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict. We should not forget about the efforts by the three member-countries of the OSCE Minsk Group,he added.
Besides, Azimov noted that opportunities of the popular diplomacy were not used at present and the sides would apply this instrument at next stages, when necessity of establishment of appropriate atmosphere for peaceful co-existence of the Azerbaijani and the Armenian communities of Nagorno-Karabakh would appear.
