Azeri foreign minister discussed future of peace talks with OSCE rep

The Azerbaijani foreign minister, Elmar Mammedyarov and Russian co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk group, Yuri Merzlyakov discussed future of the peace talks on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in Moscow, the head of public affairs department of the ministry, Tahir Tagizadeh told Trend.

The meeting took place within the frames of the meeting of the CIS Foreign ministers Council meeting, he said.

Azerbaijani minister also met his Ukrainian counterpart, Boris Tarasyuk. Ministers discussed situation in the region, cooperation in GUAM, development of bilateral ties and situation in Ukraine.

CIS Foreign ministers analyzed the results of CIS councils meetings in 2005 and discussed plans for 2006, including regulations of the consulting committee of the law enforcement sectors of CIS countries.
