Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict Materials 9 June 2006 18:00 (UTC +04:00)

Experience of resolution of conflict situations worldwide is large enough, while every problem differs for its specifics. It is not right to state on concrete precedents in the resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Araz Azimov, the Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister, told Trend. He was commenting on possible use of the experience of economic autonomy of Triest city in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

There is an obvious experience based on the principle of territorial integrity of countries. It means the sides come to agreement on this principle, the diplomat underlined. In this context provision of economic freedom of population of any region is fully possible.

Perhaps, there is necessity for maintenance and development of culture heritage, as provision of definite political freedoms, in particular, human rights, Azimov underlined. The issue can be resolved through the talks between the government of Azerbaijan and the Armenian community of Nagorno-Karabakh on the base of specially determined format, he added.
